ICT Support & Test Engineer

About the role

RED Fire Engineers is looking for a proactive ICT Support and Test Engineer to keep its digital infrastructure running smoothly. You will provide high‑priority IT support to directors, the accounts team, and fire engineers while ensuring engineering and accounting software operate without interruption.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line and second‑line support for hardware, software, networks, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams and cloud collaboration tools.
• Install, configure, test and support engineering applications such as FDS, PyroSim, Pathfinder, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Manage user accounts, MFA, permissions, cybersecurity hygiene and secure data access.
• Maintain ICT asset registers, software licensing records, support logs and procurement documentation.
• Conduct functional testing of internal ICT systems, cloud platforms, engineering and accounting software, and digital workflows.
• Create and update test cases, issue logs, user guides and technical documentation.
• Identify system risks, recurring faults and compliance gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and training to staff on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, accounting platforms and engineering software.

Required profile

• Hands‑on IT support experience in a specialised engineering environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with management, engineers and external vendors.
