ICT Operations Support Officer

About the role

Atturra is looking for an Operations Support Officer to be a key team member of its IS&T organisation, driving customer support excellence across the Weipa Operations. This is a site-based role reporting to the Weipa IS&T Superintendent, focused on supporting and improving the user experience at Weipa. The position is permanent and full time, with the office in Weipa, Queensland, or Brisbane, with regular travel to Weipa and other mining sites.

Key responsibilities

• Ticket processing and management
• Computer and telephony support, including computer build and triage activities
• Desktop application support, with additional help from other application subject matter experts as required
• User support for video conferencing and collaborative applications
• Maintenance of critical IT infrastructure
• Call-outs for high-criticality incidents

Required profile

• Strong safety focus
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting a mid-to-large Windows desktop environment
• Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality IS&T support and customer service to clients, in person and remotely
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and solve problems
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer engagement skills

Required skills

• Desirable: Cisco networking experience
• Desirable: degree in IT/communications or equivalent
• Desirable: Microsoft Server experience, application support experience, LTE network support, ITIL service management experience, Microsoft certification (Windows 10)
• Desirable: mining experience
