Hygiene Technician

About the role

SLR is seeking a Hygiene Technician to join its Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials team in Perth. You will work alongside industry leaders on a range of sustainability projects, providing on‑site monitoring and data collection for occupational health hazards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor occupational health exposures such as dust, diesel particulate matter, welding fumes, noise, asbestos fibres and chemicals.
• Develop reliable sampling plans and conduct field task observations.
• Review sample data, input results into the company database and supply accurate information for technical reports and proposals.
• Perform respirator and hearing‑protection fit testing.
• Travel to regional and remote sites as required to conduct fieldwork.

Required profile

• Previous experience in OHS/Hazmat, report writing and data analysis.
• Ability to travel regularly and adapt working arrangements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Capability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Valid driver’s licence (C‑class manual preferred) and full, unrestricted working rights in Australia.
