HVAC Technician

About the role

Johnson Controls is hiring an experienced HVAC Technician to service a diverse range of commercial sites across Northern NSW, from Tweed Heads to Byron Bay. The role suits someone who wants a long-term career close to home, supported by the resources of a global organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Service, inspect, maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Carry out preventative maintenance to maximise system performance and reliability
• Install and commission HVAC equipment and components when required
• Complete service documentation and keep accurate records
• Build strong customer relationships and collaborate with a team of technicians and industry experts
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and compliance

Required profile

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent trade qualification)
• Refrigerant Handling Licence
• NSW Electrical Licence or Restricted Electrical Licence (or ability to obtain it where required); electricians wishing to move into HVAC are encouraged to apply
• Previous experience servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems
• Current driver's licence
• Working rights in Australia; pre-employment checks are part of the selection process
