HVAC Project Manager

About the role

A national mechanical services contractor, 40 years old and with 200-plus staff, is hiring an HVAC Project Manager for its Brisbane branch. The business is growing fast and has more work coming in than the current team can deliver; the role is to take projects off the pile and eventually build a team around you. Work covers fitouts, central plant replacements and upgrades, not new-build construction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage HVAC projects end to end, including fitouts, central plant replacements and upgrades
• Manage project budgets and forecast
• Run programmes and timelines
• Manage clients and stakeholders across commercial, hospitality, aged care and correctional sites
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site delivery
• Build out the division and, over time, a team around you

Required profile

• Around 3 years' experience after trade, including project management or supervisory work
• Ability to read and work from plans (essential)
• Budget management and forecasting experience
• CPR and LV Rescue certification
• Current driver's licence and ability to pass a National Police Check
• Ideal but not essential: HVAC trade qualification and HVAC ticket (depending on the mechanical scope)

What we offer

• Salary of $140,000 to $160,000
• Company vehicle or car allowance, laptop and phone
• Yearly salary reviews, training and professional development
• Clear progression as the division grows
