HV Technician / Electrician

About the role

High Energy Service (HES), a Monadelphous business, is looking for HV Technicians/Electricians for its Resources team. The team provides shutdown services to the resource sector in the Pilbara and surrounding areas, as well as mining, oil and gas and infrastructure customers across Western Australia. The position is described as full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Test, commission and maintain high voltage assets
• Perform fault-finding activities
• Interpret drawings
• Carry out HV/LV switchgear testing, transformer testing, earth system testing and motor testing
• Conduct thermographic surveys
• Mentor apprentices
• Liaise with customers and maintain a safety, quality and compliance focus

Required profile

• Trade qualified electrician
• Prior experience or willingness to learn HV/LV maintenance and testing
• Experience in a FIFO mining environment; shutdown experience is advantageous
• Commissioning experience preferred
• Unrestricted WA driver's licence and right to work in Australia
• Strong computer literacy and collaborative, team-oriented approach
