Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The role acts as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing expert guidance on talent, organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee engagement and culture initiatives across Australasia. You will translate global HR strategies into practical solutions that support business performance and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Implement HR programs and policies such as performance management, compensation review, talent review, training and DE&I for Australasia client groups.
• Provide high‑quality local employee services including payroll implementation, onboarding/offboarding and employee data management.
• Partner with the Australasia HR Leader on talent review, development and succession planning for top talent and critical roles.
• Work with business and functional leaders to improve employee engagement and create inclusive work environments.
• Design and deliver capability development solutions to enhance team effectiveness and performance.
• Serve as trusted advisor on employee relations, attrition, conflict resolution and retention.
• Ensure compliance with Australian labour laws, Fair Work Act, NES, Modern Awards and company policies.
• Participate in regional business or HR programmes as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Industrial Relations or related field.
• 5‑8 years experience as HR Generalist, Business Partner or Advisor in a multinational, preferably manufacturing/industrial.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work Act, NES, Modern Awards and enterprise agreements.
• Proven experience managing the full employee lifecycle and employee relations matters.
• Solid understanding of remuneration, benefits administration and salary review processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
