Human Resources Coordinator (12-month fixed-term)

About the role

Guide Dogs SA/NT is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator on a 12‑month fixed‑term parental leave contract. Working within the HR team, you will support line managers, staff and volunteers across recruitment, onboarding, record‑keeping, training and WHS activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare employment condition letters and contracts and maintain accurate employee records throughout the employment lifecycle.
• Facilitate end‑to‑end recruitment activities, including job advertising, shortlisting and interview coordination.
• Coordinate compliance requirements for employee training, clearances and licences.
• Update and maintain HR systems, including HRIS and Learning & Development platforms.
• Assist with exit processes, termination paperwork, record updates and exit interviews.
• Compile data for budgets, reporting, analysis and audits.
• Provide advice to employees on employment conditions based on the EBA, organisational policies and the Fair Work Act.
• Create regular HR communications and maintain HR documentation.
• Support WHS and EPC committees, monitor actions and keep accurate records.

• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.
