Human Resources Advisor

About the role

Silverchain is seeking a Human Resources Advisor to provide practical, solutions‑focused HR advice across a broad range of employee and workplace matters. You will partner closely with managers and staff to proactively address issues, mitigate risk, and ensure fair, consistent decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee relations casework including performance, conduct, attendance, grievances, fitness for work and workers compensation.
• Provide expert guidance on remuneration, job design, employment contracts, conditions and the interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements.
• Coach and partner with leaders to build their capability in handling people‑related matters.
• Deliver clear advice on industrial relations issues, identify risks and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Contribute to initiatives and projects that improve people practices, processes and organisational outcomes.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in an HR advisory capacity, managing end‑to‑end employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks, awards and enterprise agreements.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders with credible advice.
• Excellent judgement, discretion and attention to detail when handling sensitive issues.

• Full‑time permanent role, Monday‑Friday, 76 hours per fortnight.
