HSE Lead - East (5:2) - Brisbane

About the role

Sodexo is recruiting an HSE Lead for its East Coast site in Brisbane, working a 5:2 schedule. You will work closely with and support site operations to deliver HSE objectives, strategies and accountabilities for the services in your area of responsibility, acting as a key contact for the operational team and clients on health, safety and environmental improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Support site operations to deliver HSE objectives and strategies for the services in your area of responsibility
• Act as a key contact for the operational team and clients on health, safety and environmental improvements
• Focus on continuous improvement and drive strategies and initiatives that prevent incidents
• Travel to the East Coast site on an ad hoc basis

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a health and safety-related discipline (essential)
• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience supporting, influencing and driving a zero-harm mindset
• Detailed knowledge of HSE legislation, risk management, critical risk management and root cause analysis
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Strong time management, teamwork and stakeholder management skills, able to work independently and communicate with stakeholders at all levels

• Report writing and investigation skills (essential)
• Confident handling of safety conversations and strong interpersonal skills
• Proactive safety management mindset, with focus on HSE assurance and lead indicator performance
• Strong IT acumen and attention to detail
