HSE Business Partner – Telecommunications

About the role

Service Stream, an ASX 300 listed provider of telecommunications, utilities and transport infrastructure, is looking for an experienced HSE Business Partner to join its Telecommunications HSE team in Queensland. This is a predominantly field-based role working with operational leaders, field crews and subcontractors to influence positive safety behaviour, strengthen risk management and support safe work outcomes. The team is described as supportive, collaborative and national.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders, field teams and subcontractors to give practical HSE advice, coaching and support
• Maintain a strong field presence with safety interactions, inspections and critical control verifications
• Support incident investigations, identify contributing factors and drive improvements
• Take part in audits, assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyse safety performance and emerging trends to find improvement opportunities
• Support the implementation of HSE systems, standards and initiatives across telecommunications operations
• Champion a learning culture through open reporting and constructive conversations

Required profile

• Proactive, approachable safety professional able to build relationships and influence people at all levels
• Ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience in an HSE role
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent as a minimum
• Experience conducting workplace inspections, audits and incident investigations
• Incident investigation training, preferably ICAM Lead Investigator
• Current Australian driver's licence and Construction White Card

• Understanding of compliance alongside practical, people-focused safety solutions
