HSE Advisor - 8/6 FIFO Perth

About the role

Ausdrill is looking for a suitably qualified HSE Advisor to join its team working in Western Australia on an 8/6 roster FIFO (for example from Perth). Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the role supports and guides the Ausdrill exploration and production drilling team on safety and training management so that high standards are maintained across all locations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out field leadership activities in line with Ausdrill and client requirements
• Liaise with client representatives on safety and training matters
• Work with site leadership on incident investigations, action development and closure
• Coach teams on hazard identification and risk assessment
• Champion the Critical Risk Management program and support injury management
• Assist with fitness-for-work testing (BAC, drug and hydration testing)
• Maintain data and records in internal and client management systems
• Develop, review and update site-specific HSE manuals, policies, procedures and management plans

Required profile

• Certificate IV in WHS (mandatory)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) desirable; ICAM Lead Investigator desirable
• HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (mandatory)
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry
• Current First Aid certificate, C class driver's licence and valid National Police clearance (within 3 months)
• Able to pass pre-employment medicals
