HR Generalist – Brisbane

About the role

Join a well‑resourced People & Culture team in Brisbane as an HR Generalist, supporting a large multi‑site operation. You will be the first point of contact for leaders and employees on day‑to‑day HR matters, working closely with the broader HR function.

Key responsibilities

• Provide generalist HR advice and support to managers and staff across the business.
• Handle employee relations matters, guiding managers through informal and formal processes.
• Interpret modern awards and advise on pay, leave and entitlements.
• Support performance management and talent development, including rolling out tools and conducting information sessions.
• Analyse HR data to identify trends and inform engagement and performance decisions.
• Prepare HR documentation, reports and ensure policy and compliance requirements are met.
• Contribute ideas to improve daily HR operations.

Required profile

• A degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 2‑3 years of generalist HR experience in a large or complex organisation.
• Exposure to award interpretation, employee relations and performance‑cycle processes.
• Ability to manage a high volume of competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, adaptable to audiences from frontline leaders to senior stakeholders.
