HR Gas Tanker Driver

About the role

An employer is seeking an experienced and reliable HR truck driver to operate a gas tanker across Canberra and the surrounding region. The role suits a safety-conscious, motivated driver who takes pride in their work and delivers a high standard of service.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate an HR-licensed gas tanker.
• Transport and deliver gas products to customers and designated locations.
• Carry out pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Complete all deliveries safely, efficiently and on time.
• Comply with road transport, Dangerous Goods and workplace safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well maintained.
• Be available for occasional interstate travel as required.

Required profile

• Current HR Driver's Licence and current Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence.
• At least 3 years' experience driving heavy vehicles.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe driving.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude, with good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel interstate occasionally.

Desirable

• Current forklift licence.
• Previous experience transporting gas or other Dangerous Goods.
• Experience in tanker operations.
