About the role
Tesla is seeking an HR Coordinator to join its ANZ HR team in Melbourne. The role provides hands‑on support to employees across the Motors and Energy businesses, ensuring a smooth employee lifecycle and assisting the Recruitment team with administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct new‑hire onboarding from documentation through the first day.
- Manage the HR inbox via an e‑ticketing system, responding to policy, procedural and general employee queries.
- Support internal employee communication and office updates.
- Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations.
- Lead employee engagement activities and events.
- Provide administration support to the Recruitment team, including interview scheduling and background checks.
- Coordinate employee benefit programs.
- Offer ad‑hoc project support and administer HR & recruiting systems.
Required profile
- 1‑3+ years of experience as an HR Coordinator or HR Administrator.
- Bachelor’s degree or tertiary qualification in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience assisting employees with basic workplace queries such as leave balances and pay questions.
- Basic knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws.
- Resourceful, self‑motivated and able to work in changing environments.
- Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Experience using internal HR systems.
- Basic knowledge of employment statutes.
- Data analytics (a plus).
