HR Coordinator – Brisbane

About the role

Silverstrand is looking for an HR Coordinator to join its Brisbane head office. You will play a central role in supporting the HR function across a fast‑growing civil construction business, ensuring employees are informed, trained and compliant with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Create and distribute HR communications such as newsletters, awards announcements and policy roll‑outs.
• Deliver inductions for office‑based staff and coordinate training with external providers.
• Assist with the full employee lifecycle – onboarding, development, retention and separation.
• Manage subsidies and funding from government, apprenticeship and training schemes.
• Maintain labour‑hire licence reporting and the QLeave register.
• Provide HR guidance, ensure compliance with Fair Work and safety regulations, and develop people‑and‑culture initiatives.
• Design and deliver HR training sessions and related materials.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in Human Resources.
• Experience in the construction industry is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work framework and employment legislation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to maintain accurate records and multitask.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an HRIS system, preferably ELMO or a similar platform.
