HR Business Partner

About the role

The Human Resources Business Partner will work within a well‑established industrial organisation to shape and grow the evolving HR function. Reporting to senior leadership, you will act as a trusted advisor to business unit leaders, delivering practical, commercially focused people solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to provide proactive HR advice aligned with business strategy and workforce needs.
• Guide employee‑relations matters, including performance management, grievances and investigations.
• Support recruitment, workforce planning and onboarding across the business.
• Coach managers on performance management, talent identification and succession planning.
• Assist with change‑management, restructures and business transformation initiatives.
• Oversee HR administration, employee documentation, payroll liaison and remuneration processes.
• Promote a positive, inclusive culture and drive employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage complex employee‑relations matters.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management, coaching and consulting skills.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated capability to influence decision‑making and translate HR strategy into pragmatic solutions.
