HR Business Partner - InfraBuild Recycling

About the role

InfraBuild Recycling, a 2026 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work Gold Winner and World Steel Association Sustainability Champion, is recruiting an HR Business Partner based in Laverton, Victoria. Reporting to the National HR Manager, you will partner with leaders across the InfraBuild Recycling business to improve workforce performance, build leadership capability and deliver practical people solutions. This is a generalist HR Business Partner role covering employee and industrial relations and people initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to improve workforce performance and capability
• Coach leaders on performance management, employee engagement and people leadership
• Provide practical advice across the full employee lifecycle
• Lead complex employee and industrial relations matters
• Support organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build productive relationships with leaders, employees and union representatives
• Use workforce insights to identify risks and improve business outcomes
• Deliver HR projects and people initiatives that support business priorities

Required profile

• Experience in an HR Business Partner or senior HR advisory role
• Demonstrated experience managing complex employee and industrial relations matters in a unionised environment, including hands-on participation in Enterprise Agreement negotiations and negotiation planning
• Experience supporting blue-collar, industrial or operational workforces is highly regarded

Required skills

• Strong coaching and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence leaders and drive people and business outcomes
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation
• Strong commercial judgement balancing operational, people and compliance requirements
