HR Analytics Analyst

About the role

The HR Analytics Analyst based in Henderson will transform workforce data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision‑making across Austal. This role blends technical data analysis with a deep understanding of HR processes and workforce metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance HR dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions using Power BI.
• Analyse workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities related to headcount, turnover, retention, absenteeism, diversity, recruitment and employee engagement.
• Translate complex HR data into recommendations for leaders and automate recurring HR reports.
• Partner with HR stakeholders to define reporting requirements and create meaningful KPIs.
• Support workforce planning through forecasting, modelling and scenario analysis.
• Collaborate with IT to optimise HR data structures, support system upgrades and ensure data governance.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in data analytics, business intelligence or reporting (e.g., Power BI or Microsoft Data Analytics certifications).
• Demonstrated experience in HR analytics, workforce reporting or people data analysis.
• Strong understanding of HR metrics, workforce planning, talent acquisition and employee lifecycle reporting.
• Experience working with large datasets, multiple data sources and integrating HR, payroll and business systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems or related field is highly regarded.
• Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance.
