Housekeeping Team Leader/Supervisor

About the role

The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group is looking for a full-time Housekeeping Team Leader/Supervisor to assist its Executive Housekeeper. The role keeps the Housekeeping department running professionally and cost-effectively, ensuring high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas. The group includes the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport hotels, the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre and 532 guest rooms.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect rooms, public areas, corridors, lifts, lobbies, service areas, cupboards, fire exits and staircases thoroughly.
• Organise staff room allocations, work sheets and procedures so that cleaning of rooms and floors meets the right standards.
• Follow housekeeping procedures for issuing and returning keys.
• Greet guest enquiries and complaints courteously and report them to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Report incidents, complaints, suspicious persons or safety hazards to the Executive Housekeeper immediately.
• Oversee cleaning attendants and housemen and take corrective action when work falls below standard.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work a 7-day week on a rotating roster including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; enjoys working with a diverse team.
