Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Crowne Plaza Hobart, a premium hotel in Tasmania's capital with 241 rooms and suites, is looking for a motivated, hands-on full-time Housekeeping Supervisor. The role brings strong standards, practical leadership and attention to detail to the housekeeping team, and offers the chance to develop operational leadership experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily briefings, allocate duties, monitor progress and coach colleagues to support productivity and timely room readiness.
• Inspect guest rooms, suites and public areas, working with Front Office and Engineering to resolve discrepancies, maintenance, VIP requirements and guest requests, and maintain hotel and IHG standards.
• Provide hands-on support when required, reinforce safe work practices and help manage linen, supplies, equipment, lost property and keys.

Required profile

• Previous hotel or accommodation housekeeping experience.
• Supervisory or senior room attendant experience, or demonstrated leadership capability.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.
• Flexibility across a rotating seven-day roster, including early mornings, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role.
• Valid Australian working rights; employer-sponsored visas are not available.
• Based in Hobart or planning to relocate.

Required skills

• Confidence allocating duties, inspecting rooms and coaching colleagues.
• Understanding of safe housekeeping practices.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn hotel systems.
