Housekeeping Manager – Cradle Mountain

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead a small, high‑performing team at Discovery Parks Cradle Mountain. This hands‑on leadership position requires you to run the housekeeping department end‑to‑end, ensuring exceptional guest experiences in a remote, natural setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a small housekeeping team.
• Manage departmental rosters in line with occupancy and wage budgets.
• Oversee daily room servicing and public‑area presentation.
• Maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards across guest and staff facilities.
• Partner with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor room status, report maintenance issues and drive timely resolution.
• Ensure team communal areas are clean and well stocked.

Required profile

• Confident, hands‑on leader who takes ownership of the department.
• Proven experience managing a housekeeping or similar operational department.
• Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate small teams.
• Experience managing rosters and controlling labour costs or wage budgets.
• High level of organisation, accountability and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, fast‑paced and physically active environment.
• Genuine passion for regional Australia; remote or resort experience is valued.
