Housekeeping Cleaner

About the role

Mater Hospital, a private hospital in North Sydney run by St Vincent's Health Australia, is looking for an experienced, flexible Housekeeping Cleaner. The role covers morning shifts (around 8am-4pm) and night shifts (around 6pm-11:30pm) to relieve staff on leave and cover busy periods. It sits within Environmental Services and pays 29.36 AUD base per hour plus super.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services and waste removal in line with the Hospital's policies and procedures and those of the Environmental Services Department.
• Liaise with staff and customers, including nurses, patients and visitors, about the service provided.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare setting.
• Understanding of infection control principles.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
• Ability to support the housekeeping department independently or as part of a team.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or an Australian visa granting the necessary work rights; visa sponsorship is not available.

Required skills

• Experience with a variety of cleaning equipment.
