Hospitality Teacher

About the role

St Mary MacKillop College is seeking a passionate Hospitality Teacher to join its secondary school team. You will create a safe, supportive learning environment and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that helps students understand contemporary food and hospitality practices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess hospitality curriculum for Years 7‑12.
• Teach safe food preparation, storage, handling and compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Analyse student data to inform teaching strategies and improve learning outcomes.
• Build respectful relationships with students, staff and the wider school community.
• Contribute to an inclusive school culture and participate in professional development activities.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Relevant hospitality or food‑service qualifications and teaching accreditation.
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong organisational, literacy and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Food safety and hygiene standards.
• Health and safety legislation compliance.
• Data analysis for student performance.
