Hospitality Assistant - Kitchen & Housekeeping

About the role

Infinite Aged Care's Hotel Services team delivers hospitality and support services for its residents, covering housekeeping, servery, kitchen assistant and café roles. The position is part-time and based in Ashmore, Queensland. The work is hands-on and physical, involving a lot of bending, squatting, lifting and pushing items safely.

Key responsibilities

• Cleaning resident rooms, common areas, dining spaces, administration offices, entrances and outdoor areas, and providing laundry services
• Assisting with food preparation, plating, meal service, dishwashing and keeping kitchen and dining areas clean
• Serving residents, families and visitors in the café, including beverages and light food, and maintaining café presentation standards

Required profile

• No aged care experience needed; hiring is on attitude and aptitude, with a commitment to resident wellbeing
• Compassionate, service-focused, positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to follow safety procedures and off-set checklists
• Ability to work safely with chemicals, hazardous products and heated equipment
• Punctual, able to turn up to shifts on time and ready to start them
• Current NDIS clearance and/or willingness to apply for it; proof of age required
