About the role

Join the multidisciplinary team at Slade Pharmacy within Maitland Private Hospital and deliver hands‑on clinical pharmacy services. This full‑time, max‑term position runs until December 2026 and offers a unique blend of dispensary and patient‑focused responsibilities, ideal for early‑career pharmacists looking to deepen their hospital experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation for in‑patients.
• Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate medication requirements for inpatient stays, day‑infusion services and discharge planning.
• Build professional relationships with clinicians, nurses and other stakeholders to support high‑quality patient care.
• Provide education and advice to staff, patients and carers on medicine use, health promotion and disease prevention.

Required profile

• Unrestricted AHPRA general registration as a Pharmacist.
• At least one year of dispensing experience in an Australian hospital or community pharmacy (newly registered pharmacists are also encouraged to apply).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
