Hospital Pharmacist – Part-time (Saturday)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Hospital Pharmacist to join Slade Pharmacy’s team at St John of God Hospital in Berwick. This permanent part‑time position involves working each Saturday from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, supporting the weekend pharmacy service and delivering patient‑centred care on the wards.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct medication chart reviews, medication reconciliations and prepare discharge summaries.
• Coordinate inpatient and discharge medication supplies.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary hospital staff to ensure timely and safe medication delivery.
• Maintain inventory, support stock‑control processes and provide medication advice to patients, carers and staff.
• Deliver excellent customer service while upholding pharmacy standards.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA General Registration as a Pharmacist.
• Experience in an Australian hospital or community pharmacy.
• Strong communication, organisational and teamwork abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safe dispensing practices.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Fred Dispense dispensing software (preferred).
• Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) processes (preferred).
