Home Lending Executive - Ballarat

About the role

CommBank is recruiting a Home Lending Executive for its Customer Service Lending team in Ballarat. The role sits within a senior lending position focused on building your own business, helping customers buy their first or next home, refinance or meet more complex lending needs. You will work closely with branch colleagues, specialist partners and customers, owning your lending portfolio and building a strong presence in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Build and convert your home lending pipeline through proactive business development.
• Develop strong relationships across the local community.
• Lead high-quality, needs-based lending conversations, including more complex lending scenarios.
• Own lending applications from first conversation to settlement, supported by dedicated credit and processing support.
• Partner with branch colleagues, credit specialists and support teams to deliver seamless customer outcomes.
• Guide customers through each milestone with clear, proactive communication and follow-up.
• Use customer and market insights to identify opportunities and improve the experience.
• Draw on credit and lending support to ensure applications meet policy, regulatory and responsible lending requirements.

Required profile

• Established home lending experience with a consistent track record of results.
• Proven ability to build and convert a self-generated lending pipeline.
• Strong business development and relationship-building capability.
• Confidence guiding customers through more complex lending scenarios.
• Sound understanding of credit, policy and responsible lending obligations.
• Credibility to develop trusted networks within the local community.
• Strong commercial acumen, a proactive approach to spotting opportunities and a collaborative mindset.
