Home Care Employee - Milton/Ulladulla

About the role

IRT is looking for a Home Care Employee based in the Milton/Ulladulla area to support its home care customers with personalised care that promotes their well-being, independence and engagement in activities suited to their health, happiness and interests. The role suits entry-level candidates (Grade 1) and experienced employees (Grade 2, 3 and 4B); this position is for a Grade 3 or 4B employee.

Hours are Monday to Friday with some weekends, varying between 7am and 5pm.

Key responsibilities

• Personal care, such as showering
• Cooking and food preparation
• Transporting customers to appointments and social engagements
• Providing companionship
• Helping customers continue to live well in their own home

Required profile

• Certificate III in Ageing, with at least 3 months of experience in home care and/or aged care
• Relevant Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
• Full driver's licence and a fully insured car
• Current First Aid certificate and CPR, or willingness to obtain them
• Availability to work weekdays

Required skills

• Medication competency certificate (nice to have)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a second language is a bonus
• Resilience and ability to work independently
