Higher Education Account Executive

About the role

Join Canva’s APJ Higher Education Sales team to help universities adopt visual communication tools for teaching, learning and collaboration. You will own relationships with identified universities, grow Canva’s footprint across higher education, and partner with internal teams to deliver strong customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop customer relationships with universities, understanding their goals and demonstrating how Canva can support them.
• Manage sales opportunities from discovery through deal progression and successful customer adoption.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline, identifying growth opportunities and developing account plans.
• Learn how institutions evaluate, purchase and roll out technology to guide customers through the process.
• Help customers realize value from Canva, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and expand usage.
• Share market and customer insights with Canva to inform sales and strategy.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product and Marketing teams.

Required profile

• Proven top‑performing sales record, ideally in technology, with full‑cycle experience.
• Ability to build trust with customers through thoughtful questioning and clear value storytelling.
• Comfortable creating and managing a pipeline, balancing new opportunities with existing deals.
• Curiosity about higher education; experience in the sector is a plus but not required.
• Clear, confident communication skills, able to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences.
• Commercially minded with strong account planning and forecasting abilities.
• Collaborative mindset, comfortable partnering across teams and sharing insights.
• Growth mindset, eager to learn, adapt and continuously improve sales craft.
