High Voltage Cable Jointer

About the role

Powertech, a provider of high-voltage and low-voltage commissioning and maintenance services across Australia and Southeast Asia, is looking for an experienced High Voltage Cable Jointer to join its Malaga office in Perth on a full-time permanent basis. The role involves jointing and terminating underground power cables and related electrical works, and candidates may also develop skills in HV/LV testing.

Key responsibilities

• Jointing and termination of underground HV/LV power cables
• HV terminations on various types of switchgear
• Installation of earthing/earth grids for substations and HV assets
• LV works including pillar installation and terminations/joints
• Locating underground electric cable faults for repair

Required profile

• Cert 3 or equivalent training in HV and LV cable jointing
• At least three years' experience as a Cable Jointer
• Experience completing XLPE terminations and joints
• Preferred: Electrical Trade Certification and Western Power accreditation for HV and LV jointing
• Preferred: High-risk work license, current WA driver's license and Construction White Card
