Heritage Lead - Heritage Consultancy

About the role

A heritage consultancy seeking a Heritage Lead, Senior Heritage Consultant or Principal Consultant to lead a specialist heritage team across Sydney and Melbourne. The role drives national growth strategy in a senior leadership position, based in the northern suburbs of Sydney. It is permanent and full-time, with flexible working including a 9-day fortnight; sponsorship and work visas are not accepted.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of heritage consultants across major Australian cities
• Drive strategic growth and expand the national presence of the heritage practice
• Build relationships with clients, architects, government bodies and industry partners to secure new projects
• Manage complex heritage and adaptive reuse projects in line with legislation and planning guidelines
• Advise on development objectives balanced with conservation principles
• Oversee budgets, revenue, profitability and resources, and support staff performance and future leadership planning
• Work with design and project teams and represent the consultancy externally at an executive level

Required profile

• Significant experience in heritage architecture, conservation or consultancy with proven leadership skills
• Experience as a senior leader in heritage consultancy management
• Demonstrated success in business development within heritage projects
• Solid understanding of heritage regulations, planning frameworks and conservation methods
• Australian citizenship is mandatory

What we offer

• Remuneration around AUD 170,000 to 200,000 per year, with superannuation included
