Heritage Consultant

About the role

Fyfe, a multidisciplinary consultancy covering engineering, environment, planning and surveying, is hiring a Heritage Consultant in Brisbane. You will join a growing team delivering heritage services across renewable energy, transmission, infrastructure and development projects, helping clients navigate heritage considerations while protecting cultural heritage values.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver heritage assessments, site investigations and technical reports across renewable energy, infrastructure and development projects.
• Manage heritage projects from start to finish, delivering quality outcomes on time and within budget.
• Take part in fieldwork, archaeological investigations and heritage assessments.
• Build relationships with clients, Traditional Owners, government agencies and other stakeholders.
• Prepare fee proposals and contribute to tender submissions.
• Work with environmental scientists, planners and engineers on integrated project outcomes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Heritage, Archaeology, Anthropology, History or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering heritage projects in a consulting environment.
• Knowledge of Queensland heritage legislation, cultural heritage management and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet agreed timeframes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills; only Australian citizens, permanent residents or people with full Australian working rights will be considered.
