Help Desk Support (Level 1 IT) - 5-8 Week Contract

About the role

A major distribution company is looking for a Help Desk Support professional to provide Level 1 IT support, troubleshooting and operational assistance in a Microsoft environment. The role is fully onsite in Moorebank, NSW, on a rotating shift roster, and the recruiter states the contract lasts 5-8 weeks. Candidates must live within 20-30 minutes of Moorebank and be able to start immediately.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic IT helpdesk support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Maintain cabling organisation to keep the work environment clean and efficient
• Assist with stock control, inventory counts and audit support activities
• Document issues, solutions and support activities accurately for future reference
• Work with the team to support day-to-day IT operations in a Microsoft environment

Required profile

• At least 6-12+ months of experience in a Level 1 IT Help Desk, Desktop Support or similar role
• Availability to work rotating day, night and weekend shifts for the full contract duration, 100% onsite
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Own car or reliable personal transport, living close to the site
• An IT-related qualification (degree or currently studying) is a plus
