Heavy Transport Operator – Mt Isa

About the role

Aurizon is seeking a Heavy Transport Operator to join its Mt Isa team. The role involves operating semi‑tippers, heavy forklifts and reach stackers to load and unload containerised products across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Operate semi‑tippers safely in the Mount Isa area.
• Drive and control heavy forklifts, reach stackers and loaders for loading/unloading tasks.
• Follow company policies, safety guidelines and vehicle permits.
• Complete pre‑start checks, defect reports and other required paperwork.
• Report risks, hazards and maintain a high level of customer service.

Required profile

• Valid HC licence with a clean driving record and at least three years of experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
• Reliable, punctual and able to adhere to safety and fatigue guidelines.
