Head of Studio

About the role

JD Sports is seeking an experienced Head of Studio to lead its in‑house content production operation across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the APAC Marketing Director, you will own the strategic and operational direction of the studio, delivering high‑volume ecommerce, social, campaign and brand content.

Key responsibilities

• Inspire, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary studio team covering photography, videography, styling and studio coordination.
• Champion visual standards that align with global brand direction while ensuring local relevance.
• Drive innovation in product imagery, social content and brand storytelling.
• Optimise studio workflows, manage scheduling, resource allocation and workload prioritisation.
• Oversee end‑to‑end production planning, timelines and delivery across all channels.
• Act as the primary liaison between Studio, Marketing and Digital teams, translating briefs into actionable production plans.
• Manage studio equipment, maintenance and operational readiness.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in a content‑focused studio environment.
• Strong track record of building high‑performance, collaborative teams.
• Ability to balance creative excellence with commercial and brand objectives.
• Experience partnering with Marketing, Digital, Creative and Brand stakeholders.
