Head of Recruitment – Medical Agency

About the role

Ochre Recruitment is seeking a commercially driven leader to head its national medical recruitment agency. You will be responsible for shaping strategy, driving performance and expanding client relationships across Australia’s healthcare sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop recruitment consultants across multiple healthcare streams.
• Oversee placement of locum and permanent doctors in hospitals, urgent care clinics and medical practices.
• Increase desk profitability and grow revenue through strong client engagement.
• Build and sustain a high‑performing recruitment culture.
• Report to the Chief Recruiting Officer and collaborate with the Ochre Health Group.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in agency recruitment.
• Background in healthcare, medical, nursing or allied‑health recruitment.
• Deep understanding of locum, temporary workforce or contractor recruitment models.
• Commercial acumen with a track record of revenue growth.
• Ability to coach, motivate and improve recruiter performance.
• Confidence operating in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
