Head of People Operations & Technology

About the role

Mable, part of the Attain Healthtech Group, is looking for a Head of People Operations & Technology in Sydney. The role leads the evolution of People Operations, People Technology and workforce reporting across a fast-moving environment, sitting within the People & Culture leadership team. It combines strategic leadership with operational delivery, overseeing people services, technology optimisation, workforce insights and continuous improvement, in partnership with Legal and the General Manager - People on governance and compliance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the People Operations and Technology roadmap and priorities
• Lead and mature people services and shared services capabilities
• Drive process simplification, automation and digital transformation initiatives
• Enhance people systems, reporting and workforce data capabilities
• Partner with senior leaders to improve organisational effectiveness and employee experience
• Build a high-performing team and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Required profile

• Commercially minded People leader with significant experience leading People Operations, HR Services or HR Shared Services
• Direct people-leadership experience managing a team, not just an individual contributor
• Programme and change management experience delivering multi-stakeholder, cross-functional systems projects
• Degree or diploma in HR, business management or finance (or equivalent experience)
• Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation

Required skills

• Hands-on HRIS experience (BambooHR, Employment Hero, Workday, SuccessFactors), ideally including a migration or integration project
• Strong Excel and analytical capability, able to turn workforce data into executive/board-level insights
• Service delivery, process improvement and operational excellence expertise
• Stakeholder management and collaboration with senior leaders
• Familiarity with AI tools in HR contexts such as recruitment screening, coaching/chat support and employee self-service
