Head of Operations - Manufacturing

About the role

This senior leadership position oversees day‑to‑day operations of a large manufacturing site in Western Sydney. The role combines responsibility for production, maintenance, WHS and continuous improvement, reporting directly to senior corporate leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all manufacturing and operational activities across the site.
• Drive a strong safety‑first culture and WHS leadership.
• Oversee maintenance, engineering and facility performance.
• Improve productivity, efficiency and overall site performance metrics.
• Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop frontline leaders and build operational capability.
• Provide visible, hands‑on leadership on the shop floor.
• Support broader transformation and change programmes.

Required profile

• Current experience at Plant Manager, Operations Manager or equivalent level.
• Proven track record in manufacturing, industrial or complex operational environments.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement or operational excellence programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, growth or transformation.
• Strong people leadership and influence at all organisational levels.
• Commercial awareness with increasing site‑wide accountability.
