Head of Commercial - SodaStream Australia

About the role

The Head of Commercial is a senior member of the Australian Leadership Team at SodaStream, a global FMCG company, responsible for shaping and leading the commercial strategy for SodaStream Australia. The role combines commercial planning, revenue growth management, channel strategy, go-to-market effectiveness and business performance management to support profitable and sustainable growth. It works closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, E-commerce, Supply Chain and regional and global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Australian commercial strategy, translating business objectives into priorities, channel choices, investment plans and execution roadmaps, and evaluate growth opportunities across machines, gas, flavours, accessories and emerging business models.
• Own the Revenue Growth Management agenda, including pricing, promotions, trade investment, pack-price architecture and channel economics, and build RGM capability across commercial teams.
• Lead the commercial parts of the Annual Operating Plan, set performance indicators, partner with Finance on business reviews and drive accountability for commercial targets.
• Develop differentiated strategies for retail, e-commerce and other channels, work with the Head of Sales on customer strategy and support significant customer proposals.
• Lead the Australian go-to-market strategy, assess channel coverage and field structure, and define roles, decision rights and ways of working.
• Partner with Marketing on portfolio, innovation and launch strategies, assess the commercial viability of new products and support portfolio optimisation.
• Build a fact-based decision-making culture, develop commercial dashboards and scorecards, and turn customer, consumer, market, promotional and financial information into actionable recommendations.
