Handyman - Industrial Facilities Maintenance

About the role

RAM Services (RAMS), part of Kolsen Group, provides industrial services and facilities maintenance for the Oil and Gas, Marine and Infrastructure industries. It is looking for an experienced, trade-qualified Handyman to join its Industrial Services Division in a full-time role. You will work independently and alongside preferred subcontractors supporting a facilities maintenance contract on site with one of the group's major clients. Candidates must live locally.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with RAMS HSEQ requirements, policies and procedures, identify hazards and risks, and report hazards, near misses and improvements to the Supervisor or HSEQ Advisor
• Pause unsafe work immediately and notify the Supervisor and HSEQ Advisor
• Provide building and construction services and general handyman services for minor repairs and maintenance
• Work independently, manage site-specific systems and assist operational management
• Report maintenance and repair issues to the site supervisor
• Operate equipment and machinery according to manufacturer recommendations and RAMS operating procedures
• Carry out other tasks supporting project or business operations

Required profile

• Experience across a broad range of handyman and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, guttering, minor building repairs, fencing and general maintenance
• Class C driver's licence (manual)
• Construction White Card
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
• Ability to communicate, work without supervision and as a team member
• Desirable: Certificate II or equivalent in building and construction, First Aid Certificate, Basic computer skills, Working with Childrens Card
