Gym Instructor – Personal Trainer (Cert III)

About the role

Join the dynamic team at Erindale Leisure Centre and lead our health club floor. You will work directly with members of all ages and abilities, delivering personalised training and group functional classes while promoting a vibrant aquatic and leisure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver an onboarding programme for new members (training provided).
• Run and grow functional training classes on the gym floor.
• Maintain the gym floor and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Engage with members to build rapport and convert leads into long‑term clients.

Required profile

• Knowledge of current health and fitness procedures and practices.
• Experience delivering personal training to diverse client groups, including beginners, athletes, older adults and those with specific health goals.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Certificate IV in Fitness (Certificate III desirable).
• Current registration with Fitness Australia or Physical Activity Australia.
• Current Senior First Aid, CPR, Working with Children Check and willingness to undergo a police check.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Fitness certification (Certificate IV in Fitness or Certificate III).
• First Aid and CPR competence.
