Guest Service Agent – Front Desk Receptionist

About the role

Join the world’s most international luxury hotel brand as a Guest Service Agent. You will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering memorable experiences from check‑in to check‑out while promoting IHG’s amenities and loyalty program.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm, professional greeting and manage the check‑in and check‑out process efficiently.
• Prioritise IHG Rewards Club members, InterContinental Ambassadors and returning guests in person or over the phone.
• Handle guest bookings, suggest upgrades, and promote hotel amenities.
• Process cash and credit card payments accurately for reservations.
• Anticipate guest needs, provide tailored recommendations and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance that reflects brand values.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to turn challenges into positive experiences.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts between 7 am and 11 pm, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and computer proficiency.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Full Australian working rights.
