Growth and Partnerships Intern

About the role

A client of Australiance is building an online marketplace for pre-loved, vintage and antique furniture and home decor in Australia, aiming to promote sustainability and reduce waste. As a Growth and Partnerships Intern, you will expand the seller community and support the day-to-day growth of the marketplace by reaching out to potential sellers, introducing them to the platform and guiding them through on-boarding.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and reach out to potential sellers such as vintage stores, furniture dealers, collectors and independent sellers, and build relationships with them
• Support seller acquisition and on-boarding, helping sellers set up their profiles and listings
• Help sellers present their inventory appealingly to design-conscious buyers and review listings for quality standards
• Monitor seller activity and assist in resolving operational issues
• Work with founders, the strategy and operations team and the partnerships lead, sharing insights from seller interactions

Required profile

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident reaching out to new people
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
• Interest in startups, marketplaces, interior design, vintage furniture or sustainability
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage environment and able to take initiative

What we offer

• Duration of 6 months, part-time (about 3 days per week); full-time considered
• Hybrid work arrangement based in Sydney CBD
• Monthly allowance provided
