Group Reservations Agent

About the role

Novotel Surfers Paradise, a 408-room hotel in the heart of Surfers Paradise with dining, a pool, sports facilities and six function rooms, is looking for a Group Reservations Agent. You will be the main point of contact for coordinating and executing group bookings, from corporate conferences and weddings to tour groups and special events, handling everything from inquiry to arrival.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate group reservations from initial enquiry through to departure
• Liaise with sales, front office and events teams to ensure smooth execution
• Input and maintain accurate booking data in reservation systems
• Monitor room allocations, rates, contracts and cut-off dates
• Prepare rooming lists, reports and group arrival information
• Handle special requests, changes and last-minute adjustments professionally
• Deliver excellent customer service to clients, agents and internal stakeholders

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel reservations, front desk or events coordination
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines at once
• Positive attitude and passion for guest service

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel PMS systems (Opera Cloud experience highly regarded)
• Group block management
