Group Financial Controller

About the role

HealthEx is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join its Perth head office and report directly to the CEO. This senior finance position offers a genuine seat at the strategic table and a pathway toward a future CFO role within a fast‑growing Australian healthcare business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑range financial planning for the HealthEx Group.
• Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support executive decision‑making.
• Monitor business performance, identify improvement opportunities and deliver accurate monthly financial reports.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance frameworks and compliance with taxation and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity and working capital management.
• Manage insurance, risk protection strategies and ensure appropriate financial risk mitigation.
• Lead, develop and retain a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• Significant Australian experience in finance leadership roles.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability.
