Group Financial Accountant

About the role

Join MUFG Pension & Market Services as a Group Financial Accountant, reporting to the Finance Manager, Reporting. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality statutory financial statements and supporting finance transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver statutory financial statements, subsidiary accounts and year‑end reporting.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close activities, including journals, accruals, pre‑payments, fixed assets and intercompany accounting.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations and support management reporting through P&L variance analysis.
• Assist external audit processes, including audit schedules and responding to queries.
• Support SOX controls, finance transformation projects and ESG reporting obligations.

Required profile

• CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting or audit, preferably with Big 4 experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and a risk‑and‑controls mindset.
• Experience working with external auditors and supporting audit deliverables.
