Group Director, Cabrini Research Institute

About the role

Cabrini Health is seeking a Group Director for its Research Institute, a 0.4 FTE leadership role reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The role leads the Institute's strategy, expands clinical trials and translates research into patient care, building research partnerships and increasing research and industry funding.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction of the Research Institute
• Grow clinical trial activity and patient participation across the organisation
• Develop partnerships with universities, industry and research organisations
• Secure grants, philanthropic support and industry-sponsored research
• Foster collaboration between clinicians and researchers
• Ensure excellence in research governance, ethics and compliance

Required profile

• A research doctorate, e.g. PhD or MD by research, or equivalent qualification
• Strong record in clinical trials, research leadership and strategic partnerships
• Executive leadership experience in healthcare, research or academia
• Success in securing research funding and building high-performing teams
