Group Commercial Director (Chief Commercial Officer)

About the role

The Group Commercial Director, also referred to as Chief Commercial Officer, reports directly to the CEO, CFO and Strategic Advisor. Based in Brisbane with regular travel, the role drives the Group’s commercial strategy, financial planning and capital market activities across the mining and resources sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial strategy, transactions, partnerships and capital raisings.
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow modelling and overall financial planning.
• Manage investor and analyst engagement, market communications and capital‑markets initiatives.
• Prepare Board papers, business cases and strategic recommendations.
• Monitor commercial performance, identify risks and capture market opportunities.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, corporate strategy or senior commercial roles.
• Strong background in the mining/resources sector and capital markets.
• Proven ability to work in a senior executive capacity with regular travel, including to Papua New Guinea.
