Grounds & Maintenance Officer

About the role

Ingenia is seeking a full‑time Grounds & Maintenance Officer for its Durack Rentals site. Reporting to the Community Manager, you will be the welcoming face of the park, ensuring the grounds are safe, clean and attractive for guests and residents.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain garden areas through pruning, weeding, fertilising, replanting, mulching, hedging, mowing and edging.
• Keep grounds clean and safe by clearing debris, collecting bins, spraying for weeds/pests and maintaining pool areas where applicable.
• Carry out general repairs and maintenance of tools, equipment, lighting, fixtures, fencing, BBQs and basic painting.
• Respond to resident/guest maintenance requests, provide feedback on contractor work and escalate issues to trades when needed.
• Support site presentation and security by reporting damage or incidents and accurately logging all maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Team‑oriented with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, reliable, safety‑focused and able to complete hands‑on physical tasks.
• Clear communicator who can keep work flowing smoothly.
• Current C‑class driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of chemicals and safe handling procedures.
• Experience with maintenance equipment and tools.
• Understanding of pool or site‑specific systems.
